Through the marvel of the internet, we have an identity to the "man on the wall" in the picture of aunt Nora looking in the mirror. This morning I had an e-mail from Tom and Melody Mattingly in North Pole Alaska. Tom is the son of J.C. Mattingly and grandson of Bill and Nora {Jobe} Mattingly.Tom has in his possession the original picture of the "man on the wall" and, although there is nothing written on the picture, he was told by Jack Mattingly that it is his father, Bill Mattingly. Just as Gina and I had suspected, the "man on the wall" is Uncle Bill Mattingly, and the picture on the dresser is a young  J.C. Not only has this web page helped us to identify the mysterious "man on the wall", but it has put us in contact with another of our cousins!
